Resolution #2 NAILED
Do you remember my 2nd New Year's Resolution? It was
"Explain why I am replacing flights with videoconferences."

Nicola (the second author) suggested we go to Goleta Beach Cafe on Thursday when Ken's back to celebrate finishing what turned out (for various political reasons) to be quite a stressful project. I was, of course, unable to say no!

Excellent - both for such high profile awareness raising on climte change and energy consumption and for producing a paper what I finally understand! I am impressed.
wow! that's quite amazing phil! do you think other types of scientists also use as much energy? I'm sure us biologists do - we waste so much plastic, go to lots of overseas conferences .. but maybe don't have so many big machines...?
