Would July To You Baby?
Hello there,
What a month it's been. Haven't really had a chance to stop and think about niceties like resolutions.
1. Instincts are what I live on at the moment. They came to the fore in deciding to put some money down to secure our lovely new flat. It's very special; the view extends for about ten miles across South Bristol (Phil can probably work out our elevation from that, Phil?). The move also means coahbitation with the lovely Lucy. My instincts are proving right so far.
2. No writing at all this month, far too much to do. I do have some essays to write ahead of my course though, so I've been doing lots of reading about British History (I have a great one-volume work for you Phil).
3. JOB DONE. Just three weeks to get through in August before the course starts. I am sh!tting myself. I just hope the kids don't do likewise.
4. The osteopath gave me the best bill of back health I've had in two years... which of course means that I've slacked off since. Anyone that comes to our new flat will see the Yogo chart opposite the loo - I intend to be doing some advanced lying down before too long.
5. Eating's such a joy isn't it? I have to admit, eating healthily has become equated with eat well in my mind, which might not be the same thing, but at least it's better than endless pasta'n'sauce. We had some outstanding food at the Curtis wedding at the end of the month: steak to die for.
Looking forward a lot at the moment, not in a wish-my-life-away sort of thing, but in a so-much-to-look-forward-to kind of way. The wedding of the century, meeting the newest Moore, a week in Shropshire, and of course, school...
